Job Summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a Water Resources and Stormwater Engineer for a hybrid Florida-based position supporting stormwater, flood control, water supply, and infrastructure condition assessment services.
Project Details
Projects may include stormwater conveyance and detention systems, green infrastructure, watershed improvements, flood mitigation facilities, erosion and sediment control, permitting, water supply planning, and asset management.
Responsibilities
- Lead water resources planning, modeling, design, and project management activities.
- Support regulatory compliance, permitting, and development of SWPPP documentation.
- Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and service growth.
- Mentor staff and supervise earlier-career professionals.
- Evaluate opportunities involving water supply, wastewater master planning, asset management, and condition assessment.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
- At least five years of related water resources planning and design experience.
- Experience with tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/XP-SWMM, InfoWorks, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, or asset management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer-of-record requirements.
