Abilene Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Superintendent in Abilene to support its growing national data center business. This role leads field operations, project teams, trade coordination, safety, quality, schedule, and client relationships.

Project Details

The position supports PCL’s national data center business unit and is based in Abilene, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and documentation requirements.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor project personnel, trades, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate field activities, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Develop project execution plans, critical-path schedules, and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads.
• Manage project plans, budgets, quality requirements, contracts, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Lead site and client meetings while maintaining effective relationships with project partners.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• NCSO designation required; Gold Seal program enrollment preferred.
• Approximately 10 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, materials, scheduling, productivity, cost reports, contracts, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple work scopes, interpret schedules and cost information, mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
