Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial and nuclear construction operations from an active project site in the Aiken area. This full-time role provides leadership across project delivery, client relations, estimating, contracts, and business development.

Project Details

The position supports nuclear solutions work spanning commercial construction, Department of Energy capabilities, power utilities, industrial facilities, renewable energy, and infrastructure. Daily attendance at the Aiken-area construction site is required, with no remote or hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Champion Kiewit's safety culture and support the goal of zero harm.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple construction teams through preconstruction and construction.
  • Support estimating, proposals, contract negotiations, project controls, financial forecasting, and overall project performance.
  • Manage client relationships, develop new business opportunities, and represent the company with community and industry organizations.
  • Support staffing, recruiting, employee development, retention, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

  • At least 12-15 years of commercial or Federal Government construction experience; Department of Energy experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in construction operations, engineering, estimating, contracts, client relations, staff management, and project financial forecasting.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, contracting, subcontractor coordination, project controls, business administration, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and related administrative software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and availability for overtime and weekends when required.
