Assistant Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Venice, Florida, to support the delivery of water and wastewater construction projects while developing project management expertise.

Project Details

This position supports water and wastewater infrastructure work, coordinating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, forecasts, billing records, and project documentation.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, meetings, and follow-up actions.
• Support field operations, subcontractor coordination, progress verification, quality oversight, and contract compliance.
• Communicate with project partners and help monitor risks, safety, and environmental requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of project coordination, construction, or field experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, time management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with scheduling software and construction documents.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and grow into a project management leadership role.
