Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in Atlanta to support field leadership and advance the delivery of complex commercial construction projects. This role works closely with the Project Superintendent and may oversee a project segment or supervise engineers and interns.

Responsibilities

• Support project scheduling, subcontract and purchase order development, staff coordination, and field administration.
• Lead training and development for Project Engineers and provide support to the Project Superintendent.
• Monitor job costs, labor performance, owner payment applications, change requests, change orders, and claims.
• Assist with profit projections, quantity reporting, project safety, equal employment, and affirmative action programs.
• Help establish quality management practices and manage project closeout activities.

Required Experience

• At least three years of construction project experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• General knowledge of construction principles and processes.
• Experience managing field staff and a demonstrated commitment to safety and owner relationships.
• Experience with self-perform work is preferred.
