Superintendent 2 - Self Perform Concrete

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead self-perform concrete operations and manage moderately complex construction projects in the Atlanta area. The role oversees field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, resources, and project documentation from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, company personnel, suppliers, and self-performed work activities.
• Plan and manage project schedules, work plans, staffing, materials, equipment, and labor productivity.
• Lead daily huddles, trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and project review sessions.
• Maintain project records, drawings, logs, reports, inspections, timecards, and cost information.
• Manage site safety, quality compliance, project risks, changes, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate with project management on budgets, procurement, contract requirements, and schedule impacts.
• Support project pursuits, buyout, staffing, recruiting, and implementation of Lean practices.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, layout, rigging, scheduling, and project controls.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting systems, scheduling software, and construction technology.
• Experience with Lean principles is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project conditions require.
