Job Summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers is seeking a mid-level Bridge Engineer to support transportation design-build work from the Westlake, Texas/Fort Worth or Raleigh, North Carolina offices. The role focuses on technically sound, constructible bridge and structures solutions within an integrated engineering and construction team.

Project Details

The Structures group supports bridges, highways, transit systems, runways, walls, culverts, inlet structures, and other transportation projects throughout North America. Work includes preliminary and final design, design-build pursuits, and active alternative-delivery projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge, wall, and minor-structure design assignments and coordinate plan development with CADD teams.
• Prepare and review design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Apply applicable design standards and contract requirements while developing practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in technical meetings, resolve complex design issues, and develop technical approaches for project pursuits.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil or structural engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of relevant bridge or structural engineering design experience.
• Current Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience designing concrete and steel bridges, wall systems, and minor structures.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codes.
• Experience with tools such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, PGSuper, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, InRoads, or OpenRoads Designer is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
