Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineer 1 in Cheyenne to support mechanical, electrical, and field construction work for mission-critical and advanced-facility projects.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large-scale mission-critical, data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects using specialized construction and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Support routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
• Assist with M/E estimates, system evaluations, scopes of work, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection.
• Help coordinate system sequencing, constructability reviews, inspections, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Support commissioning through pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and field testing.
• Participate in the company’s safety and quality programs and promote an injury-free work environment.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Construction experience, summer internship, or cooperative experience of up to two years is preferred.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand basic construction management methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic construction mechanical/electrical tools and software.
• Strong accuracy, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
