About the role

Job Summary

Lead field crews and daily operations as a Civil Foreman on heavy highway and civil construction work.

Project Details

Work takes place on highways, roadways, and heavy civil infrastructure projects, initially in Ohio, West Virginia, and nearby areas, with subsequent projects based nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise crews, promote safe work practices, and coordinate daily field activities with project management.
  • Review plans and specifications, oversee excavation, and apply survey and grade staking.
  • Support scheduling and production goals, complete daily reports, and review weekly crew timecards.
  • Identify and address field issues while maintaining communication with superintendents, project engineers, and team members.

Required Experience

  • Foreman or supervisory experience in heavy highway or civil construction.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, heavy equipment, and construction tools.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications; a valid driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather and perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
