Civil Foreman

Job Summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Civil Foreman to lead crews and coordinate safe, productive field operations on heavy civil construction projects.

Project Details

The initial project is in Van Wert, Ohio, involving active highway, roadway, and heavy civil infrastructure work. Future assignments may be located nationally.

Responsibilities

• Direct field crews, promote safe work practices, and oversee excavation activities.
• Review plans and specifications, apply survey and grade staking, and coordinate daily work with project management.
• Complete foreman reports, verify crew timecards, and resolve field issues.
• Coordinate with superintendents, project engineers, and other team members.

Required Experience

• Foreman or supervisory experience in heavy highway or civil construction.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, safe construction practices, heavy equipment, and construction tools.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications; a valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and perform the physical tasks of an active construction site.
