Concrete Superintendent 2 (Self Perform)

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Concrete Superintendent 2 to lead moderately complex self-perform and construction operations in Charlotte. The role manages field execution, safety, quality, scheduling, materials, equipment, documentation, and project coordination from start through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, and self-performed work activities.
• Manage site logistics, workflow, meetings, schedules, project risks, and field staffing.
• Lead safety efforts, investigate incidents, and promote an injury-free work environment.
• Oversee materials, equipment, timecards, cost tracking, quality compliance, and project records.
• Coordinate with project management, owners, architects, designers, authorities, and trade partners on changes and progress.
• Support project planning, procurement, buyout, reviews, negotiations, punch work, and closeout.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, layout, rigging, scheduling, budgeting, and project controls.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling software, construction technology, and Lean processes.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
