Electrical Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in San Diego to support electrical and instrumentation-and-control work from planning through project completion. The position is based at the Clearwater Way jobsite and requires daily onsite reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade partner scopes, subcontract administration, inquiries, progress, and change orders.
• Manage RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as-built documentation, closeout records, and warranty materials.
• Support project cost, schedule, quality, HSE, progress claims, estimates, and material tracking.
• Coordinate inspections and resolve constructability, code, AHJ, and functional compliance issues with project stakeholders.
• Work with project leadership on design coordination, schedule performance, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles, build schedules, coordinate contracts, and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and operational systems.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary is $90,000-$116,500 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
