Electrical Superintendent - O&M

Job Summary

Lead electrical field operations for power-generation projects, overseeing field teams and coordinating work from engineering review through construction and startup.

Project Details

Work supports utility- and commercial-scale solar power, energy storage, solar repowering, and operations and maintenance projects. Electrical scope may include high- or medium-voltage systems and substations.

Responsibilities

• Direct General Foremen, Field Engineers, Foremen, and subcontractors, setting expectations for safe, productive, and quality work.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, tools, and subcontractors to meet project plans and manage costs.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical systems, switchgear, transmission lines, interconnection, and high-voltage collection and distribution.
• Enforce site and regulatory safety requirements, including applicable electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and arc-flash practices.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager, engineers, owners, utilities, and other trade leaders; support project decisions and owner communications.
• Track costs, quality, scope changes, work plans, and closeout needs; support RFIs and mentor field leaders.

Required Experience

• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to supervise a large workforce and communicate effectively with owners and employees.
• Knowledge of construction tools and equipment, job costing, prints, contract documents, and applicable codes.
• May need to qualify for company contract licensing or hold a journeyman or master electrician license.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary of $110,000-$140,000. Per diem and rotations are offered, and relocation to the project community is required. Benefits include paid holidays and time off, medical, dental and vision coverage, FSA/HSA, short- and long-term disability, and a 401(k) with matching contributions.
