Field Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer in Bellevue, Washington, with regional opportunities involving project teams in Washington and Oregon. This role supports field coordination, technical problem-solving, cost and quantity tracking, quality, safety, and schedule execution on complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Support superintendents and project engineers with workforce planning, field operations, document control, RFIs, shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Help oversee self-perform work by tracking labor, crew requirements, and installed quantities.
• Lead or support safety orientations, inspections, hazard correction, and site reviews.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and contribute to quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
• Identify field issues, assist with resolution, and maintain productive relationships with trade partners, designers, inspectors, and other project participants.
• Coach field engineers, students, and interns as assigned.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Entry-level field engineering or coordination experience is preferred; relevant internships may count.
• Working knowledge of construction specifications, methods, self-perform and subcontracted scopes, temporary works, equipment, and scheduling.
• Ability to apply construction principles, communicate clearly, prepare technical correspondence, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary is $82,000-$101,500, based on experience and qualifications.
