Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is hiring a Project Engineer for its Florida Buildings Group in Orlando. This role supports project execution through subcontract coordination, document control, cost and schedule tracking, quality, and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade partner scopes, subcontract administration, inquiries, progress, and contract documentation.
• Support change orders by helping price work and evaluate cost and schedule effects.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, as-built records, material tracking, and equipment expediting.
• Help monitor site safety, cost, schedule, quality, and overall project performance with the project manager and superintendent.
• Prepare progress claims and estimates, support inspections and constructability resolution, and participate in project closeout and warranty activities.

Required Experience

• One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, equipment, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality requirements, building materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles, coordinate subcontracts, build schedules, manage priorities, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal operational systems and new technology.
