Field Engineer - Kiewit Power Delivery

Job Summary

Kiewit Power Delivery is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support field operations on major power and heavy industrial construction projects. The role offers hands-on exposure to project controls, safety, quality, craft coordination, and contract administration.

Project Details

Projects may include natural gas power plants, solar fields, nuclear facilities, energy storage systems, and other mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial work throughout the United States. Assignments may require frequent travel and relocation.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans, schedules, estimates, material takeoffs, and cost controls.
• Review drawings and specifications while supporting administrative and field operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, equipment logistics, owners, and other stakeholders.
• Support quality management and administer site safety programs consistent with Kiewit standards.
• Track project costs and schedules and help maintain efficient project execution.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of construction safety, OSHA standards, project scheduling, and cost control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and owner specifications.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required; Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Prolog, or Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
• Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, independence, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on active construction sites, including overtime and weekends when required.
• Legally authorized to work without current or future employment sponsorship and willing to travel or relocate.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $85,000-$90,000 annually. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, and paid time off.
