Field Engineer, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Field Engineer to support mission-critical construction within its Advanced Facilities Group. The role combines field execution, crew coordination, safety, quality, Lean construction, and project documentation.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large-scale data center, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, and industrial projects for innovative clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate assigned self-perform work with field crews.
• Plan daily crew activities, maintain lookahead schedules, and report progress to supervisors.
• Support safety plans, training, toolbox talks, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Assist with cost control, material and equipment analysis, quality assurance, punch lists, and project inspections.
• Work with the superintendent and contractors to coordinate crews, sequencing, and craft activities.
• Participate in planning meetings and apply Lean practices, including the Last Planner System.

Required Experience

• At least two years of construction experience is required.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, self-perform operations, labor productivity, Lean processes, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with project teams, use Microsoft Office, and learn construction technology and layout practices.
