HSE Coordinator

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support health, safety, and environmental activities for its Civil West team in Phoenix. This role assists project teams with safe work practices, compliance, training, inspections, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Help implement project HSE and environmental plans, regulatory requirements, and safe work procedures.
• Support project-specific training, hazard identification, emergency response, and security activities.
• Perform HSE inspections, track corrective actions, and verify equipment and tool inspection records.
• Review trade contractor documentation and monitor compliance with safety requirements.
• Provide HSE information and trend updates, assist with action plans, and support incident investigations.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, trade contractors, and other stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working toward a safety designation.
• At least one year of experience in a related industry.
• Ability to learn occupational health and safety legislation, environmental requirements, construction processes, and HSE procedures.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adopt new technology.
