HSE Coordinator

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an HSE Coordinator in Glendale, California, to support project teams with health, safety, and environmental programs across its California Buildings operations.

Responsibilities

• Help implement project HSE and environmental plans, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
• Coordinate project-specific training, hazard identification, inspections, and corrective-action follow-up.
• Share HSE trends with project teams and assist with action plans and emergency response procedures.
• Review trade contractor documentation, monitor safety compliance, and verify equipment and tool inspections.
• Report incidents, support investigations, and build effective relationships with project stakeholders and craft workers.

Required Experience

• Working toward a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working toward a safety designation and at least three years of related industry experience.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements, environmental legislation, HSE processes, and construction terminology.
• Strong communication, presentation, coaching, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new technology.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $84,800-$116,600 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
