Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking an HSE Manager in Denver to support health, safety, and environmental performance for its Civil West operations. The role develops project requirements, strengthens field safety practices, and provides leadership to project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project HSE requirements, training programs, emergency plans, and regulatory processes.
  • Review hazard trends, training objectives, and action plans while communicating risks and expected changes to project teams.
  • Lead or oversee inspections, audits, PPE reviews, equipment and tool inspection processes, and corrective improvements.
  • Coach project personnel and direct reports on HSE expectations and audit requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations, injury management, modified-duty monitoring, and crisis communication.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of related industry experience, including direct HSE work, and 4 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, HSE and environmental regulations, coaching, mentoring, communication, and presentations.
  • CRSP certification preferred for Canadian applicants and ASP certification preferred for U.S. applicants.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $112,500-$139,000, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications. PCL offers a comprehensive benefits program, wellness and employee assistance support, training, and career development opportunities.
