HSE Supervisor

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking an HSE Supervisor to support building projects in California. This role leads project health, safety, and environmental initiatives while guiding field teams and coordinating with project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, safe work practices, and communication programs.
• Develop and deliver project-specific safety training.
• Identify hazards and lead project inspections, audits, and reviews of trade safety plans.
• Maintain emergency response, security, and environmental plans.
• Monitor trade contractor HSE performance and participate in incident investigations and corrective-action reviews.
• Build stakeholder relationships and coach HSE Coordinators and other employees.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
• Current Construction Health and Safety Technician certification.
• At least five years of health and safety experience in a related industry; supervisory experience is an asset.
• Working knowledge of occupational health, safety, environmental requirements, construction processes, and terminology.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new technology.

Compensation and Benefits
