Integrated Campus Field Project Manager

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is hiring a Field Project Manager to serve as an Owner's Representative for complex energy and mission-critical infrastructure programs. This is a fully mobile, onsite role embedded within the client's program team — supporting data centers, power generation, and electrical infrastructure projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.

Project Details

The role focuses on complex energy and mission-critical infrastructure including power generation, electrical distribution, data center builds, and grid interconnection scopes. Black & Veatch operates as the Project Management Consultant (PMC), acting on behalf of the owner rather than self-performing EPC or detailed engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client interface for day-to-day coordination and issue resolution across contractors, EPCs, OEMs, and stakeholders.
• Oversee scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and safety performance across program phases.
• Maintain integrated master schedules, cost forecasts, change logs, and risk registers with home-office controls support.
• Deliver consistent executive-level reporting to client leadership and internal teams.
• Coordinate integrated testing, commissioning, and turnover activities and support transition to operations.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of progressive experience managing complex infrastructure or energy projects.
• Demonstrated background in Owner's Representative, PMC, or Owner's Engineer roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field — or 15+ years of equivalent field experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be fully mobile and willing to relocate between project sites upon project completion.
