Janesville Electrical Superintendent (Renewable Energy)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring an Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution for utility-scale solar and wind projects throughout the Great Lakes Region. The position is based in Janesville, Wisconsin, with reporting teams in Michigan and requires extensive travel.

Project Details

The role supports renewable energy construction, including utility-scale solar and wind installations. Superintendents work onsite full-time for the duration of assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct electrical construction activities and supervise crews and subcontractors.
• Enforce jobsite safety and maintain compliance with codes, design documents, and client requirements.
• Coordinate short-term planning, sequencing, schedules, labor, materials, and equipment.
• Work with project management, engineering, clients, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues.
• Review drawings and submittals, support QA/QC and turnover documentation, and participate in BIM coordination.
• Monitor productivity, costs, and material usage while mentoring field personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent field experience.
• At least 4 years of electrical construction experience, with field supervision experience strongly preferred.
• Utility-scale renewable energy experience in solar or wind is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of power distribution, electrical installation, construction drawings, QA/QC, and turnover procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, BIM360, and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 15- or 30-Hour Certification required.
• Must be willing to travel extensively and work onsite full-time.
