M/E Engineer 1 - Electrical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an entry-level M/E Engineer 1 to support electrical, mechanical, and field construction activities for mission-critical work in Atlanta. The role provides a development path toward M/E Engineer 2.

Project Details

This position supports mission-critical construction through preconstruction analysis, bid preparation, systems coordination, inspections, submittals, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Support routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction tasks.
• Assist with M/E estimates, systems analysis, scopes of work, bid comparisons, and subcontractor selection.
• Help coordinate system sequencing, constructability reviews, inspections, shop drawings, and submittals.
• Contribute to commissioning documentation, functional testing, and quality and safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Zero to two years of construction experience, internship, or cooperative education experience is preferred.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand basic construction management methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with project teams.
