M/E Engineer 2 - Commissioning, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to support commissioning and mechanical/electrical construction activities for mission-critical and advanced-facility projects in Tempe. The role offers a progression path to M/E Engineer 3 and requires collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, design professionals, and clients.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers data center, semiconductor, industrial, and manufacturing projects requiring coordinated mechanical, electrical, and commissioning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and field testing.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, develop system schedules, and help resolve sequencing and constructability issues.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, design documents, and project specifications for compliance and quality concerns.
• Prepare site inspection and constructability reports and participate from project startup through closeout.
• Assist with M/E estimates, systems analysis, bid analysis, subcontractor selection, and scopes of work.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, drawings, and specifications and use Microsoft Office and construction M/E tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, accuracy, and team collaboration skills.
