Madison Traveling Construction Manager Utility Scale (Renewable Energy)

Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is hiring a traveling Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale renewable energy projects across the Great Lakes region, with initial assignments in Wisconsin. This role leads project engineers and superintendents to deliver solar and wind projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction planning and develop Installation Work Packages and Inspection Test Plans.
• Direct subcontractor scope, sequencing, scheduling, and logistics.
• Track self-perform and subcontractor productivity and earned value.
• Ensure all work adheres strictly to contract documents and construction schedules.
• Resolve field conflicts, construction delays, and in-field issues.
• Support the project manager and project controller in forecasting self-perform productivity.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in construction management.
• Solar or wind market experience preferred; commercial construction experience required.
• Proven track record leading teams of construction staff, subcontractors, and engineers.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
