Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an M/E Engineer 2 to support mechanical, electrical, and field construction work for advanced industrial and manufacturing projects. The role offers a progression path to M/E Engineer 3 and requires collaboration with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and design professionals.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects using integrated mechanical and electrical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical and electrical estimating, systems analysis, scope development, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection.
• Lead mechanical and electrical coordination and develop system schedules and sequencing solutions.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, and submittals and prepare constructability and inspection reports.
• Support commissioning, including pre-functional checklists, testing procedures, and functional testing.
• Participate in projects from startup through closeout while supporting safety, quality, schedule, and client deliverables.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external project partners and use basic construction M/E tools and software.
