Millwright Superintendent - Power

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Millwright Superintendent to lead precision equipment installation and field execution for power generation and solar projects. The role supervises craft leadership and field crews while coordinating with clients, engineers, vendors, and project teams.

Project Details

TIC Power delivers non-union construction services for cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal, waste-to-energy, fossil-fuel generation, and solar farm projects throughout North America. Current assignments may be located in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, or Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee millwright field operations in accordance with erection manuals, drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
• Supervise General Foremen, Foremen, and craft personnel while coordinating with other superintendents and subcontractors.
• Manage progress, labor costs, work assignments, daily records, and schedule adherence.
• Maintain client and equipment-vendor relationships and resolve field issues, employee concerns, and workflow challenges.
• Enforce project safety, attendance, conduct, and workplace policies.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of precision millwright experience, including 3 years in a leadership or superintendent role on power-generation projects; qualified Foremen and General Foremen are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on expertise in precision alignment, related instrumentation and tooling, and installation of combustion and steam turbines and generators.
• Experience with Mitsubishi, GE, Siemens, or Alstom equipment is relevant.
• Rigging and lifting experience is preferred.
• Strong safety, quality, problem-solving, communication, planning, negotiation, and contract-administration skills.
• Ability to travel, work overtime and weekends as needed, and operate independently across varying jobsite conditions.
