Job Summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Pipe Foreman to direct crews installing underground utilities on heavy civil projects.

Project Details

The current assignment is in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Work includes underground storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and related structures on active heavy civil infrastructure projects. Later projects may be located nationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead pipe crews and coordinate daily personnel, equipment, materials, and work activities.
• Use plans, specifications, and grades to guide installation and maintain quality and production.
• Conduct pre-task planning and safety meetings, and oversee trenching, excavation, utility locating, and shoring practices.
• Coordinate with project leadership, surveyors, and other trades; track production and maintain daily project records.

Required Experience

• At least five years of underground utility construction experience and two years leading pipe crews or working as a foreman.
• Knowledge of OSHA practices, heavy equipment, trenching, excavation, grading, and utility construction methods.
• Valid driver's license and ability to use power and non-power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
