Pipe Superintendent

Job Summary

Valley Corporation is seeking a Pipe Superintendent to direct field operations for utility construction projects. This leader will guide crews and subcontractors, coordinate with project management, and maintain strong standards for safety, quality, productivity, and client service.

Project Details

The position supports civil utility work involving sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water systems, with responsibilities spanning active construction sites and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily work activities, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor coordination.
• Work alongside field teams to support production and workmanship.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections while enforcing company and regulatory requirements.
• Track progress, adjust field plans, and communicate schedule, cost, change order, and risk information to Project Managers.
• Review construction documents and resolve field issues with engineers, owners, and project leadership.
• Maintain production records, daily reports, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
• Assist with project startup and closeout while developing Foremen and crew members.

Required Experience

• Three to five years of progressive utility construction field experience.
• Experience supervising crews and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction, utility methods, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, cost tracking, and field reporting software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and walk active jobsites.
