MEP Superintendent I

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking an MEP Superintendent to coordinate field execution and resolve project coordination issues with teams and project partners.

Project Details

The role supports multiple complex data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise MEP scopes while supporting customer relationships.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, and project schedules, including three- and six-week look-aheads.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability, and resolve plan and specification conflicts with design engineers.
• Develop site logistics plans, manage company tools and equipment, and collaborate with partner superintendents.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction or a related engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• At least 8 years of construction experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role; mechanical or electrical contractor experience preferred.
• Ability to manage tasks across complex projects, interpret construction documents, and use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
• Current driver’s license, effective communication, and customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $111,400-$167,100 per year, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, and dental coverage; a 401(k) match; paid time off; life and disability insurance; tuition reimbursement; adoption assistance; and other programs. Some benefits apply to eligible employees working 25 or more hours per week.
