Safety Manager - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Safety Manager to guide safety programs across multiple construction teams and sites, with opportunities at two experience levels.

Project Details

The role supports data center construction projects and is based in Omaha or Lincoln, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the company safety program and develop site-specific electrical safety plans with project teams.
• Identify training needs, deliver orientations and electrical safety training, and mentor safety staff.
• Review subcontractor safety submittals, participate in project planning meetings, and monitor field activities.
• Track safety and injury data, conduct site audits, and assist with major incident reviews.

Required Experience

• Level I qualifications include a bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent, plus six years of construction safety experience; an alternate pathway requires a high school diploma, CHST, OSHA 500, ten years of construction experience leading crews and planning work, and six years as a dedicated construction safety professional.
• Level II requires one year of related experience.
• CSP certification preferred; current driver's license required.
• Ability to travel up to 100%, use Microsoft Office and safety software, and communicate and lead effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

Level I base pay is $100,100-$150,200 per year; Level II is $107,200-$160,800 per year. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
