Assistant Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support data center construction projects from estimating through client acceptance and help guide project teams.

Responsibilities

• Support cost controls, financial documentation, estimating, scheduling, subcontract awards, and contract administration.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, oversee project budgets, and lead project coordination meetings.
• Guide project team members, support safe and timely delivery, and provide coaching and career development.
• Help manage smaller projects and implement quality plans aligned with customer requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of related experience and the ability to support complex projects.
• Current driver’s license; intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills.
• Understanding of construction law and standard business practices, with strong organization, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $102,000-$137,700, with higher ranges for certain office locations. The position may be eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement matching, paid leave, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other wellness and family support programs.
