Trenchless Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

Municipal Pipe Tool, a Vortex Company, is seeking a project manager to oversee trenchless construction work from planning through closeout, coordinating budgets, schedules, field teams, and project documentation.

Project Details

Projects include trenchless rehabilitation and underground infrastructure work across Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota, with travel throughout the Midwest.

Responsibilities

• Set project goals and manage procurement, materials, resources, schedules, and costs.
• Interpret contract documents and coordinate with employees, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review pay estimates, support change orders, address project risks, and develop schedule recovery plans.
• Oversee field leads and assess project quality, crew performance, and safety compliance.
• Maintain project records and complete punch lists, final payments, releases, and closeout activities.

Required Experience

• Three to five years of experience in underground infrastructure, trenchless rehabilitation, or municipal or industrial projects.
• Three to five years of construction management experience.
• At least two years of experience with Bid 2 Win.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, and knowledge of cost control, scheduling, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and safety-focused problem-solving skills.
