Project Director

Job Summary

PCL Industrial Construction Co. is seeking a Project Director in Houston to lead complex construction work, strengthen client partnerships, and guide project teams in delivering safe, high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Support business development pursuits through estimating, proposals, presentations, and preconstruction activities.
• Direct project performance across safety, budget, quality, schedule, and profitability objectives.
• Oversee quality planning, design reviews, constructability, code compliance, procurement, sequencing, scope coordination, and technical risk management.
• Monitor payment and progress activities, subcontractor submittals, inspections, commissioning, and trade performance.
• Lead, develop, train, and mentor project personnel across one or more sites.
• Evaluate operational information, lead customer and internal meetings, and address project risks and change-management needs.

Required Experience

• Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 15 or more years of progressive construction leadership experience preferred, including work with varied contract and delivery methods.
• Construction management leadership experience, plus estimating or related preconstruction experience, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental requirements, construction law, building codes, project controls, cost management, and change management.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple scopes, assess trade performance, lead teams, manage risk, and present to clients.
