Project Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support construction management and field execution activities in Oklahoma City. The role offers a development path toward Project Engineer 2 and exposure to multiple phases of project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality, estimating, change management, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation activities.
• Monitor field labor, materials, equipment, quantities, and self-perform production.
• Assist with inspections, safety and quality reviews, punch lists, meetings, reports, and project closeout.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, track submittals and deliveries, and provide progress updates.
• Build effective working relationships with tradespeople, subcontractors, superintendents, and project team members.
• Apply construction fundamentals, Lean practices, and company standards while supporting project productivity.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Accuracy, timely execution, written and verbal communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction technology, Lean principles, construction methods, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.

Compensation and Benefits

This position is classified as Professional Non-Union and includes the company's benefits package. Travel or relocation and non-traditional working hours may be required based on project needs.
