Project Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer 1 to support field and construction management activities while developing a strong foundation in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality assurance, inspections, punch lists, closeout, and self-perform activities.
• Assist with estimating, quantity takeoffs, change management, procurement tracking, shop drawing coordination, and delivery follow-up.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications and help prepare meeting records, daily reports, progress updates, manpower reports, schedules, and equipment tracking.
• Observe jobsite work, monitor crews, materials, equipment, quantities, and self-perform hours, and communicate updates to project leadership.
• Build collaborative relationships with project teams, trades, subcontractors, and field supervision while applying Lean practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, construction technology, specific trades, self-perform work, labor productivity, and Lean principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, push, and pull.
