Project Engineer 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support construction management and field execution activities while developing expertise in project delivery, safety, quality, scheduling, and self-perform operations.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality assurance, inspections, punch lists, closeout, and project documentation.
• Assist with estimates, quantity takeoffs, change management, schedules, daily logs, reports, and cost tracking.
• Monitor crews, labor hours, materials, equipment, productivity, and field progress.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, procurement logs, submittals, deliveries, and project records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, trades, superintendents, project leadership, and internal support teams.
• Help plan crew activities, prepare look-ahead schedules, and provide updates to the project superintendent.
• Use CMiC and other company technologies to support project setup and administration.
• Apply Lean practices and contribute to training and mentoring less experienced team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction technology, project controls, self-perform work, labor productivity, and construction methods.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require it.
