Project Engineer

Job Summary

Granite is hiring a Project Engineer to support the engineering and delivery of water treatment systems, ensuring designs and project work meet applicable engineering standards.

Project Details

The role supports municipal drinking water and industrial process water treatment systems, including filtration, ion-exchange, and membrane technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare system proposals, scope documents, preliminary process designs, and cost estimates.
• Guide design updates to process diagrams and project drawings, and help select system components.
• Develop pilot testing procedures, analyze results, and prepare reports.
• Provide engineering support to project management and field service teams during installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate with sales and marketing to clarify customer needs and assess design alternatives.
• Prepare project submittals and operations and maintenance manuals, and provide technical training.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering preferred, or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• At least two years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• Knowledge of water treatment technologies and processes, including filtration, ion-exchange, and membrane systems.
• Ability to develop conceptual system designs, including technology selection and sizing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel in the field up to 20%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $72,355–$108,534. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending plans, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting.
