Project Engineer

Job Summary

Total Mechanical is seeking an early-career Project Engineer to support mechanical construction projects through planning, execution, and closeout. The role provides technical and administrative support to help deliver work safely and meet quality expectations.

Project Details

The company delivers mechanical systems for commercial facilities, including hospitals, schools, libraries, and other community-serving buildings across the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager with preconstruction, construction, and closeout activities, including plans, permits, RFIs, submittals, meeting records, and closeout documents.
• Respond to field team requests and coordinate site walks, design reviews, BIM information, and layout needs.
• Assist with schedules, progress tracking, safety documentation, punch lists, and commissioning.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
• At least one year of experience and a solid understanding of mechanical systems; construction project engineering experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, and Procore is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company policy.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
