Project Engineer

Job Summary

Becho Incorporated is hiring a Project Engineer to support the Project Manager on the Connecticut River Bridge project in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

Project Details

Work is part of a bridge infrastructure project. Becho specializes in geotechnical construction, including drilling, foundations, and excavation support.

Responsibilities

• Process change proposals, change orders, owner payment applications, and applicable claims.
• Track project costs and prepare reports, quantity summaries, labor cost analyses, and quarterly project records with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Coordinate project closeout, help address quality-control issues, and perform quantity take-offs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geology, geotechnical engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of civil or infrastructure construction experience.
• Prior experience as a field engineer, project engineer, or office engineer.
• A master’s degree, PE registration, estimating experience, or CAD experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range: $90,000–$140,000.
