Project Engineer - Design Team, Industrial/Manufacturing

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for its Advanced Facilities Group in Atlanta. The role supports construction management and field execution on industrial and manufacturing projects while developing expertise in project administration, quality, safety, scheduling, and self-perform operations.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for innovative clients. This position is focused on the industrial and manufacturing segment and may involve site-based work, travel, or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Support project safety, quality assurance, quality control, estimating, change management, and construction administration.
• Monitor crews, labor hours, materials, equipment, production, and assigned work activities.
• Maintain drawings, specifications, procurement logs, submittal tracking, delivery information, and project reports.
• Assist with project meetings, inspections, punch lists, closeout documentation, and as-built information.
• Help prepare schedules, daily logs, work plans, look-ahead plans, and progress updates.
• Coordinate subcontractor scope, project support functions, crew planning, and cost or productivity analysis.
• Use CMiC and other company systems while applying construction best practices and Lean principles.
• Build effective working relationships with trade partners and project team members.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction technology, project controls, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work accurately, collaborate with internal and external teams, and apply construction management fundamentals.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in active construction conditions, including frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
