Job Summary
Barton Malow Company is hiring a Project Engineer to support utility-scale solar and wind construction projects across the Great Lakes Region. The role coordinates construction engineering activities and communication among project stakeholders.
Project Details
The Renewable Energy Team delivers solar and wind projects throughout the Great Lakes Region. The position reports to teams based in Southfield or Grandville, Michigan, and requires daily attendance at the project site.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for project issues and maintain document control.
- Process submittals, RFIs, bidding documents, contractor quotations, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Maintain project schedules and assist with site logistics planning.
- Coordinate plan reviews and approvals with local and state municipalities.
- Support jobsite safety compliance and communication with owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
Required Experience
- Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- One to three years of relevant professional experience or related construction internship experience.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to travel and report daily to project sites across the Great Lakes Region.
