Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Executive to provide senior leadership for complex building and infrastructure work in California. This employee-owned organization offers the opportunity to guide project teams, support business development, and deliver work safely, profitably, and to high quality standards.

Project Details

The role supports PCL’s California Buildings group and may be based in Glendale, Irvine, or San Diego. The portfolio may include several smaller projects or a single large, highly complex project using varied delivery methods and construction sequences.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall project performance across safety, budget, quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Guide design coordination, permitting, procurement, submittals, off-site production, construction, and commissioning.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and internal teams.
  • Build and mentor project staff while managing complex organizational structures across one or more sites.
  • Support estimating, proposals, presentations, preconstruction, and pursuit of new work.
  • Manage contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, claims, disputes, and project documentation.
  • Promote safety culture and contribute to district and corporate safety initiatives.

Required Experience

  • Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Preferred 15 or more years of progressive construction leadership experience.
  • Preferred 12 to 24 months of estimating or related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, specifications, building codes, safety, quality, contracts, insurance, bonding, and legal requirements.
  • Experience with multiple project types, delivery models, construction methods, complex subcontracts, and purchase orders.
  • Ability to lead client and project pursuit presentations and manage multitrade jurisdiction and collective agreement requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary is $184,000-$230,000 based on experience and qualifications.
