Project Manager 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 in Charlotte to oversee project administration, financial performance, scheduling, procurement, and coordination with clients, designers, subcontractors, and field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct project planning, buyout, subcontracting, submittals, change management, reporting, and closeout.
• Partner with the Project Superintendent to develop schedules, coordinate labor and material needs, and address risks affecting delivery.
• Monitor budgets, costs, forecasts, margins, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, bid packages, scope reviews, trade coordination, and bid solicitation.
• Lead project meetings and maintain communication among owners, architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Promote jobsite safety, investigate incidents, and reinforce an injury-free work culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may substitute.
• At least five years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project controls, accounting, scheduling, construction technology, and Lean practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and advanced project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, relationship-building, and budget-management abilities.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
