Project Manager 1- Education

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 1 to lead the administrative, financial, scheduling, safety, and coordination activities for education construction projects in Atlanta. The role works closely with the Project Superintendent and project stakeholders while supporting the company’s safety culture and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage project startup, preconstruction coordination, procurement, buyout, subcontracts, submittals, and change requests.
• Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal departments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement logs, resource plans, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports.
• Lead project meetings, pay application processing, risk reviews, documentation, and closeout activities.
• Promote an injury-free work environment, investigate incidents, and support safety training.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least five years of construction management experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management methods, project processes, budgeting, scheduling, and Lean practices.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and advanced proficiency with project management, accounting, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel or relocate when project needs require.
