Project Manager 2 Commercial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead moderately complex commercial construction projects or major portions of large projects in Kansas City. This role owns full project administration from preconstruction through closeout and reports to a Senior Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of project delivery including buyout, submittals, schedule, cost forecasting, and owner change management.
• Lead OAC meetings, monthly project reviews, and progress meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Prepare and manage the monthly cost and margin forecast in coordination with the project superintendent.
• Oversee subcontractor scope review, bid package development, contract issuance, and ongoing risk analysis.
• Champion jobsite safety culture and investigate incidents as needed.
• Manage project closeout including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, and warranties.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of construction management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in project management and accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Lean process principles.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
