Project Manager 2 Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead moderately complex healthcare construction projects in Kansas City, providing overall direction, administration, and field coordination from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project safety culture and mentor team members toward an injury-free environment.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoff, bid package development, and schedule creation.
• Manage buyout schedule, subcontract issuance, and ongoing subcontractor risk analysis.
• Coordinate submittals, shop drawing reviews, and approvals with architects and engineers.
• Facilitate owner, architect, and contractor (OAC) meetings, progress meetings, and monthly project reviews.
• Prepare and manage monthly owner and subcontractor pay applications.
• Develop and maintain project schedule using Lean principles; identify and mitigate schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs against budget, prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts, and report on project profitability.
• Lead project closeout including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, and warranties.
• Manage deliverables from internal resources including logistics, IPS, and self-perform groups.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of construction management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• Advanced proficiency in project management and accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Lean process application.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
