Project Manager Advanced Power Generation

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is hiring a Project Manager for its Advanced Power Generation group to oversee small-to-medium EPC and services projects in the power and energy sector. The role carries full accountability for cost, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction across the project lifecycle.

Project Details

Projects span gas-fired power generation and other advanced power technologies, serving utilities, independent power producers, and non-traditional energy entrants. Work is primarily EPC and services-based, ranging from small services engagements to small full EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope.
• Oversee cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual compliance across multiple concurrent projects or clients.
• Lead and coordinate multi-discipline project teams, including third-party contributors.
• Support contract negotiations and pursue new or repeat business on medium-sized projects.
• Manage project risk, including fixed-price engineering, new technologies, and new client relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 12+ years of experience in engineering, construction, or project management preferred.
• Prior EPC experience in the power industry, particularly gas-fired technology, strongly preferred.
• Ability to complete pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
