Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager to oversee data center construction projects, with opportunities available at Project Manager I and II levels. The role leads project performance, develops team members, and maintains strong customer relationships.

Project Details

This position supports complex data center construction work and may require travel to project locations nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, projections, cost coding, invoices, billings, subcontracts, and supplier relationships.
• Select and manage trade partners and suppliers while controlling project budgets.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assign work, approve timecards, and support career development.
• Serve as the primary owner and site contact, resolve concerns, and manage contract requirements and change orders.
• Maintain schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, compliance, and stakeholder relationships through completion.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Project Manager I requires at least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager II requires at least seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Working knowledge of construction law, business practices, Microsoft Office, project applications, and web-based tools.

Compensation and Benefits

Project Manager I base salary is $113,500-$170,300 per year. Project Manager II base salary is $132,100-$198,200 per year, with location-based adjustments in select markets.
